This campaign's been a little unique as I haven't had much exposure from different youtube channels I had on prior campaigns. It means everything is based on word of mouth of you, letting folk know how great Flying Sparks is.
I ran my own stream today going over my writing process, where I came up with a new concept from scratch to show exactly how stories in comics should go (in my opinion). I hope it'll give you a little insight into my process and that you'll enjoy:

Here's an interesting comic I came across... concept is an STD that gives you superpowers... but the catch is you die in six months. There's always a catch when you go down bad paths. I wonder how he'll handle the morality. Check it out here.
$12K Stretch Goal Unlocked - Onto $15,000!!!

Last night we hit our $12K stretch goal which will get all backers free digital comics comprising of Flying Sparks Issue #0 (to be released, short stories that take place before the main series and character bios for tons of our characters) and Ember War Issue #1 (Jethro and my Sci-fi adaptation of Richard Fox's novel).

At $15K, Josh Howard, the famed artist of Image's Dead @ 17 and currently on T-Bird and Throttle will be doing a pin up for the book. I met josh at SDCC years ago and have been a huge fan ever since. Back then, he did this sketch for me:
Beautiful. He's one of my favorite artists and I'm sure he'll do something great for this book too.
We gotta keep the momentum going these last 6 days. Tell your friends how awesome Flying Sparks is. Get them to back! And remember you can get t-shirts and posters of any of the covers for $25, just add that amount onto your pledge. Same with extra copies of any of the paperback books (hardcovers are $50 and extra variants are $35).
I also want to highlight a campaign of a buddy of mine I've gotten to know recently who has BEAUTIFUL painted art. It's called In Search of Sacha, and it's a storybook with a ton of painted illustrations, a life's work of a great artist. You can check it out here.

Meta-Girl The Waifu!

If you discovered on kickstarter, you might not have seen that I promised my fans if we funded on day 1, we would be making a Meta-Girl waifu-style body pillow case.
Well, my fans came through big on the book and we always deliver on our promises here at Flying Sparks central.
I'm also going to be trying to highlight a few other indie projects on here which I'm loving since I love building this indie community as much as i can. Felipe Cagno is much like me in that he delivers books like clockwork and is super focused on writing a quality book over and over. I loved his Lost Kids (which I backed) and he's got a new comic ending the next couple of days, One-Eyed Jack, which is absolutely crushing it. Check that out here.

Jethro drew the back cover art SO FAST! It looks beautiful. I love how this looks and it'll go great on the back of the book.
It focuses on Johnny and his two henchmen, Mario and Bob Bobinson.

We hit the $10K mark last night! So amazing!
This is unlocking some back cover art from Jethro Morales, which I just spoke with him about drawing.
To make it even cooler, he's going to do a time-lapsed video of him drawing the back cover, which I'll post as soon as he has done.
We've still got amazing stretch goals ahead of us. Free extra books to check out at $12K, a new pin up by one of my favorite artists at $15, and more if we can get this book going viral.
